Do you have any advice on getting to you by train?

Ideally you should stop in Rimini, which is on all the high speed routes including the Italo High Speed Train. From Rimini you can reach Gatteo Mare and/or Cesenatico very quickly (15/20 mins) with the Adriatic train service.

How far are the Ricci Hotels from the railway station?

Hotel Sport and Nettuno are 2/300 m from the Gatteo Mare railway station, Villamia is within walking distance.

Hotel Valverde is 1 km from the Gatteo Mare railway station, and 2 km from the Cesenatico railway station.

Is there a bus stop nearby?

There is a bus stop 200 m from each Hotel.

Which motorway junction should I take for Cesenatico?

The nearest is the very convenient “Valle del Rubicone” A14 junction between Cesena and Rimini Nord (North), which was opened recently.

Which airport is the closet to Cesenatico?

The Rimini airport is only 15 km away. There are many flights to Bologna (90 km north of Cesenatico) and to Ancona (about 100 km south of Cesenatico). The largest European and international companies fly to Bologna and Ancona including low cost companies. From these airports you can get to Cesenatico by private transfer or with an excellent train service.

How far are the hotels from the town centre?

Hotel Sport, Hotel Nettuno, and Villamia are in the centre of Villamarina di Cesenatico (FC) near the pedestrian area where all the shops, pubs, bars, and restaurants are.

Hotel Valverde is in the centre of Valverde di Cesenatico (FC) close to all the facilities, shops, the church, chemist’s etc.

All the Hotels are 2/3 km from the old town of Cesenatico, which can be reached with a free evening shuttle service (from 8.30 pm to 11.30 pm, except Saturday and Sunday) with a convenient bus service, or on one of the Hotel bicycles, which are always available.

What are the check in and check out times?

Check in is from 12 pm on the day of arrival. Check out is by 10 am on the day of departure. A later check out must be arranged. There is a small supplement for the use of the swimming pool and other facilities after the standard checkout time. 

What formulas do you offer?

The Hotel Formula offers a choice between FB (excluding drinks and beach facilities) and Quality all inclusive (including drinks and beach facilities). With the Aparthotel Formula you can stay in a flat and pay a weekly fee. At certain times we accept shorter stays.

Is there a reduction on HB in the Hotel?

Yes, the reduction is of 12/15 Euros a day. With the HB formula you can choose whether to have lunch or dinner at the hotel on a daily basis.

Do you offer just B&B?

Yes, we do, and you can calculate your offer and book directly through our booking service.

Do you have any connecting rooms?

All our Hotels have connecting rooms. At Hotel Sport we offer Vela connecting rooms with two bathrooms, as well as Family rooms which are proper Marea two-room 40 m2 apartments; Hotel Valverde has Family rooms which are  Maestrale two-room 40 m2 apartments; Hotel Nettuno has various connecting rooms: Comfort, Vistamare, and Marina Suite with 1 or two bathrooms.

Are there any convenient supermarkets for guests staying in the apartments?

50 m from Hotel Sport and Valverde there is a small well-stocked local supermarket. About 1 km away there is the largest hypermarket in Romagna with dozens of shops.

Are there any reductions for children?

At Hotel Nettuno children from 0 to 3 have a discount of 70%; from 3 to 12 there is a 50% discount, from 12 to 16 there is a 20% discount; from 16 years up there is a 15 % discount. At Hotel Sport children from 0 to 5 stay free; from 5 to 12 there is a 50% discount; from 12 to 16 there is a 30% discount, from 16 years up there is a discount of 15 %.

At Hotel Valverde children from 0 to 3 stay free; from 3 to 12 there is a 50% discount; from 12 to 16 there is a 30% discount; from 16 years up there is a 15% discount.

In the apartments an extra bed costs 100 Euros per week, and an extra cot costs 56 Euros per week.

Are drinks included?

Only with the Quality all inclusive package, which includes all restaurant drinks, 1 beach umbrella and 2 sun beds in central areas, bicycles, and beach towels.

Is breakfast included in the Aparthotel Formula?

No it isn’t, but with a small supplement of 13 Euros per person per day it is available.

Is breakfast served as a buffet?

We provide a large buffet, but we strictly serve espresso coffee and cappuccino at the table; there are no coffee machines with powdered coffee.

What does breakfast include?

The buffet includes 3 kinds of honey that we produce ourselves, homemade jam, cakes, biscuits and fresh patisserie made by us, various kinds of bread (including wholemeal) ham and cold meats, cheeses, all kinds of eggs and crepes made to order, low fat and fruit yoghurt, different kinds of muesli, fresh croissants, fresh fruit and vegetables, a professional centrifugal juicer so you can make your own shakes, fruit juice etc.

Are lunch and dinner served as a buffet?

Just the starters, the vegetables, and the cakes are served buffet style. Everything else is made to order. We have chosen this system to avoid long canteen-style queues at the buffet, and because we prefer table service.

Our menus comprise local seasonal products, authentic traditional recipes, and creative, tasty dishes, homemade pasta, especially tagliatelle, passatelli (local pasta) etc.

We serve fish for lunch and dinner every day. Once a week we organize an event with a buffet dedicated to the local traditional cuisine and to the recipes of Artusi from Forlimpopoli.

Once a week we also celebrate cakes and patisserie with another special event.

Do you have special celiac menus?

We make good gluten-free food and dishes for allergy sufferers, vegetarians, and for guests with other dietary requirements.

Do you have special children’s menus?

We have special children’s menus that combine games and stories with a balanced diet. These are the Menus of MARINO the Lifeguard Crab, our Mini Club mascot. Every menu is especially prepared to appeal to children’s tastes and a buffet area provides fresh salt-free vegetable broth, small pasta shapes etc.

If you choose the Aparthotel Formula can you eat at the restaurant?

Yes, we have some really good deals. You can have lunch or dinner for 25/30 Euros per person and choose from 3 or 4 menus with table service. Meals for children aged 0 to 3 are free. From 3 to 12 years old there is a discount of 50%.

We also provide a fast restaurant service in the swimming pool park and a takeaway service in your apartment. First courses cost 9/11 Euros and second courses 10/12 Euros.

Are mealtimes flexible?

Breakfast is between 7.30 am and 10 am. After which you can have breakfast on the terrace at the bar. Lunch is from 12.30 pm to 2.00 pm, and dinner is from 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm.

Are beach facilities included?

Only the Quality all inclusive package comprises 1 beach umbrella and 2 sun beds in central areas. All other formulas have a promotional fee for beach facilities of just 15/18 Euros per room per day (1 beach umbrella and 2 sun beds, in central areas).

What is the sea like in Cesenatico?

Cesenatico has been awarded a blue flag for many years. The shallow water is ideal for children. The water is constantly monitored by marine biologists at the Marine Research Centre of the University of Bologna, which has its seat here in Cesenatico, by the sea.

Are the swimming pools heated?

They are heated in the cooler months, especially the children’s pools.

What sports does Cesenatico offer?

Beach tennis and beach volleyball, golf, kite surfing, sailing, cycling, horse riding, water skiing, parasailing, and much more besides.

How do you organize the trip to the Farm?

The “Il Podere” Farm is 15 km from Cesenatico. We get there by bus in the late afternoon and have a look at the old farmhouse. Then we stay for a traditional dinner with lots of entertainment.

Do I have to pay for parking?

Parking is always free on the hotel premises. Payment is required only in the Hotel Valverde garage (70.00 Euros a week).

Is air-conditioning included?

In the Hotel Formula it is always included; in the  Apartment Hotel Formula there is a small supplement (one room 45 Euros, two room apartments 80 Euros, three room apartments 90 Euros a week).

Are bicycles free?

Yes, the use of our bicycles is free of charge. There are 30 bikes per hotel.

Is linen included in the Aparthotel Hotel Formula?

Yes, all sheets and bathroom towels are included.

Does the Aparthotel Formula include a daily makeover of the rooms?

Only the HB package includes this daily service. The Apartment Hotel Formula includes one towel change and cleaning of the bedrooms mid-week (excluding the kitchen). If you stay for two weeks, full cleaning of the apartment and a complete linen change is included.


What services are always free?

Use of the swimming pools and of the whirlpool, of the sun beds and beach umbrellas by the pool, of the bicycles, children’s games, and Mini Club entertainment activities, of Mini Tennis and of the Tennis court (upon prior booking), of beach and pool towels, as well as access to the beach and games, Wi-Fi (pool and hotel lobby areas) and car park. Dinner at the “Farm” (included in the Hotel Formula).

How old must children be to access the entertainment activities?

They must be 3 years old, but for younger children there are other activities like the evening mini disco.

Activities take place every day (except Saturday morning) from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm and from 4.00 pm to 11.00 pm. The programme is full of activities that usually take place on the beach in the morning and in the Hotel in the afternoon. There are also activities for adults with fantastic cycling trips to discover the old town and surrounding areas; and there is the wonderful trip to “Il Podere” Farm, a memorable afternoon for both adults and children.

Do you require a booking deposit?

We need a deposit to confirm your booking (from 200 to 500 Euros).

How can I send the deposit?

By wire transfer or credit card (secure protected server).

Will I lose the deposit if I have any problems?

If you cancel within 7 days of arrival, you can use the deposit at another time during the summer of the same year, or within the following year at the latest (according to availability and for at least the same number of days). You can also give it to friends or relatives.

If you cancel closer to the date of arrival or do not show up, we will keep the deposit as a penalty (article 1386 civil code) as damages for the client’s choice to cancel.

 
How do I settle the Hotel bill?

In cash (up to 5.000,00 Euros), and by debit or credit card. If you use cheques you need the manager’s authorization when you arrive or when you book.

What are the closest adventure parks?

The closest is the Atlantica water park in Cesenatico (Piazza Marco Polo, 4) with a surface area of over 100 thousand m2, 42,000 m2 of which are full of vegetation, and 5,700 m2 are covered in pools heated at a constant temperature of 28° C.

Mirabilandia is 15 km away. It is the largest amusement park in Italy (Strada Statale 16 Adriatica, Savio di Ravenna)

Fiabilandia is 23 km from Cesenatico (Viale Gerolamo Cardano, 15 – Rimini) with over 30 attractions in 150,000 m2 of greenery, and exciting live shows, while in Viserba, Rimini, there is Italia in Miniatura (Via Popilia, 239) a theme park dedicated to the Italian architectural and cultural heritage.

About 36 km away – in Riccione (RN) – there is Aquafan (Via Ascoli Piceno, 6C – Riccione (RN) – the most famous water park in Europe – and the Oltremare theme park – with Ulisse the mascot, the most famous dolphin in Italy, and 4,000 m2 of water games - and Imax, the largest Cinema Theatre in Europe.

About 45 km away – in Cattolica (RN) – there is an Aquarium (Piazzale delle Nazioni 1/A), with 3,000 specimens of marine animals and 400 different species.
